Training at First 5

Training at First 5 offers a variety of community based training and peer networking and support opportunities. Providers from all disciplines who serve children ages 0-5 and their families in Alameda County are welcome to attend training and networking opportunities at First 5. Continuing Education Units are provided for a nominal fee to registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, licensed educational psychologists, and licensed professional clinical counselors at all qualified trainings through the Board of Registered Nursing and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Neighborhoods Ready for School Update:

The First 5 Alameda County Commission approved four agencies to serve as the first cohort of Neighborhoods Ready for School grantees. Each of the following four agencies will receive a maximum grant of $470,000 with a an initial funding term of March 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.:

  1. ALL IN Alameda County
  2. Roots Community Health Center
  3. Lincoln
  4. Union City Kids Zone, New Haven Unified School District
