Since 2016, First 5 Alameda County has invested nearly $200,000 annually in Project DULCE. Between 2023-2024, this investment resulted in:

Project DULCE is changing the way families experience healthcare
Project DULCE (Developmental Understanding and Legal Collaboration for Everyone) is a pediatric care coordination initiative that helps families with young babies during the first six months of life.
The initiative, housed at Highlight Hospital Pediatric Department, connects families to home visits, legal consultation, and resources that support healthy child development.
Nested within First 5’s Parent Partnership strategy, Project DULCE uses parent leadership to inform programming and investments and is a partnership between First 5 Alameda County, the East Bay Community Law Center, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, and the Center for the Study of Social Policy.
