You are invited to participate in the final phase of developing our next Strategic Plan.That plan will guide our work from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2017.
Two public meetings at our San Leandro conference center offer your best chance to discuss the plan and give your input:
Friday, Nov. 30 - 2pm Program Committee Meeting
Thursday, Dec. 13 - 9am First 5 Commission Meeting
At the Program Committee meeting, staff and commissioners will review the draft strategic plan and offer an opportunity for dialogue with stakeholders. Comments and suggestions at that meeting will provide input for the final draft to be presented to the full Commission on Dec. 13th.
In addition to attendance at the two upcoming meetings, as always we welcome comments by email. Email me at mark@first5ecc.org with your input at any time.
To date, community input has included a comprehensive survey that was completed by over 500 people, key informant interviews, and comments at several Commission meetings including our Commission Strategic Plan retreat in August. We are excited about the depth of the input received and the plan that is evolving. We are confident it will be an important tool for advancing our collective work to improve the lives of young children and their families throughout Alameda County.
