Health Heroes Program with Samuel Merritt University

Health Heroes is a partnership between Samuel Merritt University (SMU) School of Nursing and the Alameda County Emergency Child Care Response Team.

Health Heroes is recruiting sites for its upcoming cohorts.  Please note that all SMU Student Nurses have been vaccinated and services are available in many languages. For more information and to register, please see the flyer in EnglishSpanishChinese.

Stop the Spread of Germs and How to Wash Your Hands: The video below was created by Samuel Merritt University nursing student Katarina Yabut, through the Health Heroes for Child Care consultation program, to help providers educate child care and families about proper handwashing techniques.
